Omega–3 SuperVision®, with 10 mg Lutein Daily, 90 softgels

Protect Your Eyes Against Damage and AMD with Omega–3 SuperVision®, with 10 mg Lutein Daily

The leading cause of blindness in adults over 40 is degeneration of the macula (the center of the retina) of the eyes, called age-related macular degeneration or AMD. Smokers, Baby Boomers, women, and people with blue eyes are at the greatest risk. Exposure to pollution and sunlight can deteriorate the macula and reduce our eyes’ ability to pick up and transmit visual images to the brain. Reduction of overall and peripheral vision can put an end to normal activities like reading or doing fine handiwork.

Regular supplementation with eye-supportive nutrients can protect the eyes against damage, including AMD.

Omega–3 SuperVision®, with 10 mg Lutein Daily from webber naturals® contains a unique formula of natural compounds known to benefit the eyes. With Omega-3 (DHA) and Lutein, this unique formula also includes Bilberry extract, as well as Anthocyanidins, Rutin, and Quercetin, bioflavonoids associated with improved blood flow to the retina, for better circulation and lutein delivery. Antioxidants protect the fine capillaries of the retina.

Nutrients for Good Eye Health!

Lutein is a yellow-orange, fat soluble carotene, a food pigment or natural colouring compound similar to beta-carotene. Lutein helps the eyes filter out harmful high-energy blue wavelength light, which we are exposed to indoors and out.

The retina contains the body’s highest concentration of lutein, and it converts some into zeaxanthin, another protective pigment. Unless the macula is regularly supplied with dietary lutein, it can be seriously damaged by long term exposure to solar light. Published reviews and in vitro studies support the role of lutein as an antioxidant within the macula [Sundelin, Nilsson, 2001].

Research shows that people who eat lots of green leafy vegetables (rich in lutein) are at a significantly lower risk for blindness due to age-related macular degeneration.

DHA may reduce risk of AMD [Cho, et al., 2001]. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an Omega-3 fatty acid, vital for development and maintenance of the retina, as well as organs and the nervous system. High concentration of DHA in the retina, and mechanisms for conservation of essential fatty acids in the eyes, suggest that DHA may be important to retinal function and good vision. DHA deficiency in laboratory animals decreased their visual acuity.

Components of this formula are not associated with adverse effects, except where plant-related allergies exist.
